I was born in Raleigh and have lived here my whole life so far. I started playing hockey when I was 4 and I may continue to play in college for the club team at OSU. I have always loved cars as well and may try to get involved at the center for automotive research at OSU in addition to my studies as a mechanical engineering major. I am looking forward to life in Columbus at OSU and can’t wait to get started!

I am a graduate of the Hillside High School class of 2019, and will be attending The Ohio State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Aviation Management with a professional pilot concentration. I am currently a licensed private pilot, and hold over 75 flying hours. In my spare time I enjoy relaxing with my friends and family, as well as traveling and experiencing new cultures. At Ohio State I plan on joining multiple organizations, including the Black Student Union, the flight team, the club football team, and other activities I may find once I am there. In the long term, I plan to graduate from Ohio State and become an airline pilot. I am grateful to the Triangle Chapter of Ohio State Alumni, and look forward to developing a relationship with the organization over the next four years.

I chose to go to The Ohio State University because of the large size of the school and the wide variety of opportunities. I have many interests and I tend to pack my day full of many different activities and subjects. I felt that at OSU I would be able to pursue all of my current interests and be encouraged to also find new ones. The John Glenn College of Public Affairs was another huge factor in my decision to attend OSU because of its commitment to its students and the wonderful opportunities it provides, such as the Washington Academic Internship Program. Along with the alumni club’s scholarship, I received the Provost Scholarship and the National Buckeye Scholarship from OSU which made OSU an affordable option.
I am planning on pursing a dual degree with a BA in Management, Leadership, and Policy and a BA in Journalism. I will also be pursuing a minor in dance and I will continue to play trumpet in one of OSU’s many concert bands. Additionally, I was accepted into the John Glenn Civic Leadership Community, so I will live in Busch Hall with other civically engaged Buckeyes my freshman year.

I am currently beginning my fourth year in Medical Dietetics at the Ohio State University, which now consists of a dietetic internship coordinated throughout OSU. I will go to six different internship sites over the course of this summer and year, all in different specialties of the dietetic field which will give me the most experience possible so that I can choose an area of interest once I graduate. My first two rotations are this summer, food service at a camp for kids with chronic illnesses called Flying Horse Farms, and my second is long term care at a retirement home in Worthington! I am currently vice president in the Student Dietetics Association at OSU, as well as a member and bible study leader in Cru, a Christian community on campus. Go Bucks!

I am happy to report that I was recently accepted to the Max M. Fisher College of Business. I plan to pursue a business degree specializing in accounting and management information systems. Last semester, I continued to focus on academics and made the Dean’s List. I did take some time for fun. I attend a couple of baseball games, participated in the Buckeyethon dance marathon, and supported some of my friends in charity events – such a Pie a Phi!

As for what I’m up to, I’m currently working an internship for a custom home builder named Compass Homes in Powell, Ohio. I primarily do estimating for the houses and pricing out how much it will cost for the project. I also recently joined the club football team, and became the vice president! I’m extremely excited for my final year at OSU. While I’m currently unsure of what I’m going to do when I become an alumni, I do know I’m going to look back on these years with profound fondness. If fate has it that I end up back in the triangle, I’d love to participate in the alumni association. We’ll have to see where I end up though!
