Military Support Program

Lee Memorial Health System

“We support our troops and their families at home”

We need your help in collecting items for the troops

Did you know?

LMHS has won several awards! 5 Star Award and Above & Beyond Award from the ESGR!!

We started fundraising in April 2003 with Military Support T-Shirts

We send care packages monthly to all troops on our active list

47,000 pounds of packages have been sent since April 2003. Over 1000 local troops have been sponsored

Special Thanks to our Volunteers who make it happen!

HOW YOU CAN HELP?

The first game we are planning to collect donations will be the Penn State game on October 28, 2017.

We need your help in collecting items for the troops.

Most of the men and women live out of their backpacks – so the items needed on a regular basis for our LOCAL troops currently deployed overseas include:

Wet wipes– travel sized

Unshelled Nuts

Deodorant – travel sized

White Socks

Anything to do with the feet (foot powder, foot cream, etc.)

Bubble gum / hard candy

Toilet paper

Shaving cream

Throw-away razors

Meat in pouches: tuna, chicken, salami, beef jerky, pepperoni

Snack packs: fruit, pudding, cheese and crackers

We will be collecting the items above at the game watch parties at Shoeless Joe’s.

We will also accept cash, and check donations.

SWFL Buckeyes are proud to be a part of LMHS’ ongoing Military Support efforts.

For questions on the program or on how to donate directly call board member Sue Miles.

Thank for YOUR support! GO BUCKS!
