Hurricane Irma was a devastating category IV hurricane that made landfall in South Florida. The middle and western half of the State had extensive damage. Roofs were taken off of homes, trees downed, roads blocked, shelters were full and power was out for over a week. Many families were without food, water and diapers.
The SWFL Buckeyes recognized the problem and collected funds to donate to The Harry Chapin Food Bank. This local organization distributed to countless families in desperate need of help. We are proud to carry on an Ohio State tradition of giving.
