Eligibility
Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for scholarships:
- Scholarships are awarded for one academic year only. Eligible students are encouraged to reapply on an annual basis.
- The student is currently enrolled at The Ohio State University or has been accepted and plans to enroll. Scholarships are only available for study at The Ohio State University.
- High school students or transfer students must be admitted to the university before applying.
- Currently enrolled students must have a cumulative GPA of no less than a 2.5.
- Scholarships are only available to undergraduate students.
- All applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation. Your reference will be contacted directly by the scholarship committee to provide the letter.
- Scholarships may be used for main campus or a regional campus.

- Contact information for a teacher, counselor, employer, organization advisor, etc. that can share information about your involvement.

- Upload your response to the following essay questions (approximately 250 words each):
- Tell us about your interest in your field of study. Why did you choose your major, and what experiences have shaped and focused your academic goals?
- Please describe how you have demonstrated leadership in and/or out of school. Include specific examples – such as academic research, volunteer work, internships, contribution to student organizations, or the like – in your answer.
- What does LGBTQ community mean to you? In what ways have you been involved in the LGBTQ community, and what contribution(s) do you hope to make to these communities?
