The Ohio State University Rugby Alumni Society is an officially chartered affiliate of The Ohio State University. Our mission is to connect our alumni, the university, the community and our current team through joint events that embrace the meaning of what rugby is, a gentleman’s game.
Your annual tax deductible membership dues of $75 will go directly to the teams annual operating fund (205414). They are used to help offset the cost of uniforms, travel, equipment, and alumni events. The team operates on a budget of around $40,000 per fall season plus the players dues of $340 per season. When we get into the spring sevens season those numbers go up.
By joining The Rugby Alumni Society your tax deductible $75 membership fee will automatically qualify you as a sustaining member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association. As a sustaining member you have the opportunity to apply for the annual football ticket lottery, dues need paid by Dec 31st to be eligible for the following year’s lottery. You will also be eligible for the following benefits with your membership.
Our primary goal as a society is to grow the endowment fund (605414) to a level comparable to the strength of our alumni and that will provide annual self sustaining operating funds for the current team. This can be achieved by the continued support and donations of our alumni, family, friends, and fans of our great sport. With an annual donation of $3000 or more, you will be recognized by the University as a President’s Club Member and eligible for season football tickets and the following benefits.
