NROTC Midshipmen Participate in the Lawrence Miller Flag Ceremony

On Friday September 28, 2023 the Air Force, Army and Navy ROTC cadets and midshipmen conducted the annual Major Lawrence Miller Flag Ceremony and flags replacement on campus.

This year the event was hosted by the Army ROTC.  The keynote speaker was Major General Walter M. Duzzny USA (OSU Army ROTC ’89).

After the ceremony squads of AROTC and AFROTC cadets and NROTC midshipmen replaced all flags on campus buildings.

59th Annual NROTC Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to the 2023 Scholarship Recipients

The OSU NROTC Unit held the 59th Annual Awards Ceremony on April 21, 2023. The Society participated by bestowing scholarships funded by your NROTC Scholarship fund donations and scholarships funded by Society President Steve Drefahl and Society member Dennis Groves. Additionally, GYSGT William Puckett USMC was awarded a plaque in appreciation of his outstanding support of The Society during his tenure as Assistant Marine Officer Instructor. The 2023 Buckeye Invitational

On March 25, 2023 the unit hosted the Buckeye Invitational Competition.  Midshipmen from The University of Rochester, Penn State University, Purdue University, The University of Illinois, Marquette University, North Carolina State University, The University of South Carolina and The State University of New York Maritime College competed in military and physical fitness skill events.  Here are a few pictures of the competition.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2022 SEAWOLF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The NROTC Alumni Society was pleased to present five outstanding midshipmen with $2,000 scholarships on April 22, 2022, at the 58th Annual NROTC Awards Ceremony.

Society President Steve Drefahl presented the scholarship awards. RDML Jennifer S. Couture, Commander, Naval Service Training Command and CAPT Darrell Canady, Professor of Naval Science joined Steve for the presentations.
