Jevon Collins-OSUBAS Board Member

JCollins2Jevon Collins is the Performing Arts Program Director at The King Arts Complex.  His main duties include developing, organizing and facilitating all Performing Arts programming.  Jevon is approaching his tenth year as he began his tenure in September 2006 and was promoted to Program Director in July 2011.  He has served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Ohio Arts Council and the Cuyahoga Arts Council.  He currently serves as a member of The National Performance Network/Visual Artist Network – Board of Directors, The Ohio State University – College of Arts & Sciences: Town & Gown Committee, The Wexner Center for the Arts – GenWex Advisory Committee, Columbus Urban League Young Professionals and founding member of the Next Gen National Arts Network and the Columbus Artist Network.

Jevon is a native of Columbus, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Science in Product Development and Evaluation from The Ohio State University.  During his time at Ohio State, he served on the Lincoln Tower Dorm Council, President of the Multi-Ethnic Students in Human Ecology and a Student Assistant at the Wexner Center for the Arts.  As a youth, he played cello in three Columbus All-City Orchestras.  Jevon is a graduate of Northland High School and was inducted to The Ohio State University – The Young Scholars Program at The King Arts Complex as a sixth grade Woodward Park Middle School student.

Jevon enjoys reading, composing and designing during his spare time. He also enjoys running, weightlifting and tennis.
